From October 8 to November 5, 2023, POI LAB was responsible for creating specialized stage equipment using FT2 poi chips, as well as developing LED poi-based visual effects and performance programs for the 2.5D stage production, Live Spectacle “NARUTO” – The Way of the Ninja.
Equipment Overview
Chidori Blade
First introduced in the 2021 production ~Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari~, the device was reprogrammed and adapted for this show to match the updated choreography and effects.
- Internal module: Developed by POI LAB. The first device to feature an FT2 poi chip.
- Blade exterior: Created by Atelier Chaos.
KUNAI (Raikiri)
A rechargeable LED kunai equipped with high-resolution addressable LEDs to dynamically represent lightning effects on stage.
- Exterior and internal circuit: Fully custom-built.
- Fabrication: Fujioka Kouji
- Technical direction: Yuta (POI LAB)
Chakra Effect (Hand LED)
A palm-sized LED module that interacts with both the performer's movement and surrounding stage lighting to create fiery or electric chakra-like effects.

Chakra Cloth
This device was used to portray chakra energy flow in a tug-of-war style performance. The internal LED module and control program were designed by POI LAB using FT2 poi chips and addressable LEDs, syncing with the music and choreography to visualize the chakra's motion.
