Poi Lab joined the production Live Spectacle NARUTO: The Great Ninja War Begins as a visual effects partner, providing direction, technical coaching, and equipment using Bugen, Poi Chips (FT2), and Visual Poi.
Bugen
For Kabuto Yakushi’s snake scenes, both UV-reactive and LED Bugen were used to express serpentine movement on stage.
We trained actor Yusuke Yada (Kabuto) and the ensemble cast, in coordination with stage director Taku Nishikawa, to choreograph eerie and fluid motions.
Poi Chips (FT2)
In the chakra tug-of-war scene, LED effects were controlled via FT2 Poi Chips.
As in previous productions, Sasuke’s Chidori Blade also utilized embedded poi chips to visualize the lightning-style energy of Chidori.
Poi
The giant snake summoned by Kabuto was performed by ensemble members using poi.
For the curtain call, Visual Poi Mini created a brilliant light finale to conclude the show.
