At the 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival, Poi Lab was in charge of the flash mob choreography and visual poi performance for the special stage “Virtual×Real×Tech Live featuring Chokkan×Algorithm♪.”
This project followed our previous involvement in Docomo’s “4G Get Speed” campaign, and we felt a strong sense of connection as we returned—this time in the context of a 5G experience.
As part of a performance linking a VR live experience (via head-mounted displays) with a real-world stage, poi was used as the visual bridge. Starting with a dynamic flash mob featuring 17 performers, the show evolved into a vivid visual poi performance that lit up the venue.
Special thanks to:
Choreographer Asuka for the fun and impactful routines, all flash mob dancers who balanced busy schedules with rehearsals, the Poi Lab team for energizing both rehearsals and performance, and the documentation crew for capturing great photos and video.
