For the musical Touken Ranbu *Shinken Ranbusai 2022*, Poi Lab was in charge of technical direction, choreography, and LED programming for the poi performance by 11 Touken Danshi in the song “Kemon.”
Using three different sizes of visual poi, including the mini version wielded by Imoken—who had prior poi performance experience—the team delivered stunning shows across 28 performances in 8 cities. The Visual Poi Mini enabled both delicate expression and dynamic movement, showcasing advanced techniques such as the Infinite Spiral and Lockout, leaving even experienced poi artists impressed.
Many Touken Danshi made their poi debut in this production, mastering high-level choreography that combined movement and technique through persistent rehearsal. Their efforts brought the performance to a new level of complexity and impact.
