Poi Lab and Shinjuku Zatsugidan were featured on NHK’s “Shutoken Network,” with coverage of our poi practice session and performance.
During the interview, footage from a past appearance as backup dancers for Kiyoshi Hikawa at the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen was also aired, along with a spontaneous interview with Ike-kun, who had participated in that show as well.
For this broadcast, we created and performed a special routine set to H ZETTRIO’s “NEWS,” edited specifically for TV. Reporter Osawa and the staff showed great interest in poi and even tried spinning it themselves. It was a fun and memorable broadcast for all involved.
